I’ve been paying attention to one word that quietl I’ve been paying attention to one word that quietly steals joy, clarity, and momentum:

should.

- I should be further ahead.
- I should have said yes.
- I should have said no.
- I should be doing more.

And what I’ve noticed is this: “should” rarely comes from truth.
It often comes from pressure… comparison… old programming… and other people’s expectations.

It’s the voice that keeps you building a life that looks right…
instead of a life that feels right.

So here’s the reframe I’m living by lately:

When I hear myself say “I should…”
I pause and ask:
“Do I actually want this… or am I trying to earn my or someone’s approval?”

Because the word “should” might be the reason we don’t have all we want.
Not because we’re lazy...but because we’re distracted from our truth.

Where has “should” been running the show for you lately?
